SENW Opens NEW R&D Lab

Southeast Nonwovens, Inc. (SENW) is pleased to announce the opening of its new Research and Development Laboratory.  The new laboratory occupies a 4000 ft2building on the SENW campus in Clover, South Carolina.  Designed to incorporate labs, conference room and offices, the facility welcomes customers to participate in their projects should they wish to be on site.  Each of the three staple-based nonwovens processes have separate labs, complete with analytical and prototyping equipment. Forming equipment for wet and dry lay web making are accompanied by chemical, thermal and mechanical bonding equipment.   A separate test lab is set up to test basic physical properties.

Paul Latten, R&D and New Business Development Director, said “Our vision is to be the preferred platform for innovators to give form to ideas. SENW and this lab offer a compelling value proposition for understanding, developing, improving and commercializing staple-based nonwovens and composites using a wide variety of natural and synthetic materials.”
